Superhero

I was never one for actual comic books, and even though it was an interesting text, Understanding Comics didn't exactly convert me. I had no idea what superhero I would want to be, and so I turned to the wonderful google to help me out.

I took a quiz and it determined that I should be Superman due to the fact that I am "mild-mannered, good, strong and love to help others." Other than the strong part, that's pretty accurate for a silly quiz. Robin and Wonder Woman came in a close second/third. Those all sound fine and dandy, but definitely too commercial. If I were to be a superhero, I realized I would want to be someone completely new, with powers specifically tailored to my interests and passions. And so, I've created my own superhero character...

That's probably the dorkiest thing I've said all week. However, it makes total sense once I explain my superpowers. I want to be able to rescue animals, especially dogs, and give them shelter. I want to take dogs away from abusive owners, the streets, and other dangerous situations in order to let them live happily ever after. Basically I would be a nicer/less abrasive version of PETA. The dorky name came from a combo of canine and Katie ;) I don't want to be able to fly or turn invisible--I want to make a difference for suffering animals and be able to nurse them back to optimal health. I love dogs and turning into a "dog lady" would be way better than a sad old cat lady when I'm older. Basically I would have the authority to care after all of the world's dogs, and act as a giant doggy day care. Of course I wouldn't own all the dogs in the world, but I would have a screening process before allowing people to adopt or breed their animals to make sure they will grow up in a healthy environment.

After reading this you'll probably think I'm crazy and that I should've just stuck with Superman. But oh well, I love my doggies <3
